Just over 30 minutes from Lisbon along the coast of Estoril, the Riviera of Lisbon, we find the smaller cities of Estoril and the old fishing village of Cascais - known for their sunny climates, relaxing beaches and golf courses. Here you’ll find charming little bed and breakfasts, alongside elegant, modern hotels with all the facilities to cater for a relaxing break, or an action-packed conference.
The seaside restaurants offer a privileged view of the coastline – perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine and the local seafood delicacies.
If you venture out of the city, popular attractions include: a day-trip to Lisbon; Cabo da Roca – mainland Europe’s most western point; Sintra, with its fairy-tale like palaces. All are easily reachable by car, public transport or through organised excursions. Alternatively, you could take a boat trip to enjoy lunch at sea. When night falls, you could even try your luck in the Estoril’s famous casino – the inspiration for Ian Flemming’s James Bond book “Casino Royal”.

We have had 3 wonderful days in Cascais. Sun, Bath (cold water) and Party.
We had a little culture (and wine) also on the excursion to Sintra with lunch.
I want to thank you so much for the nicely organized program. The hotel worked flawlessly although we were so many, very affordable but luxurious.
Cascais was new to many of us and a nice alternative to Lisbon.
